Budget airline wanted to charge me a full seat price to take my violin on board. I now use a cut-down case which fits the violin exactly and is within airline specifications - but won't fit the bow. The bow travels in my luggage in this bow case. Lightweight but sturdy construction which won't bend. Best of all - it comes with a handy shoulder strap for easy carrying. No internal clip to hold the bow in place - but it's a snug fit.
I've used this violin bow case for transferring spare cello bows or cello bows for rehairing etc. It is an excellent product, lightweight, nicely lined and with an excellent zipper which has lasted for years. Very strongly recommended.
(Tip: Also can be used for advanced children players who still play a 3/4 cello but need a full bow which will not fit inside the 3/4 case.)
