I have 16 of these small stands. They are very well made, and very compact. They use a standard M10 wing bolt for attaching the lantern. The metal part is very sturdy, and each arm has a rubber foot, riveted to it, so they don't come off.
I have used these to hold up LED PARs, Martin CX-4 colour changers, which are about 8KG, and Clay Paky Mini Scan HPE lanterns, which are about 12kg. They just about cope with those and do not wobble too much.
Very sturdy, and there is nothing to go wrong with them, even with rough handling.
The black finish is durable and doesn't damage too easily, even with lanterns rubbing on it as you reposition them.
Having used a lot of different lighting stands, this DTS stand is by far the best looking and designed stand I have come across. Works great with small lanterns like Pars and Birdies, but equally can handle a Source 4 Junior.
