This seems to work great, but probably will fail sooner or later. There is a serious design flaw - the center pin of the input BNC socket can freely rotate (or be made to rotate by some tighter fitting BNC plugs) and is directly soldered to the thin wire of the pulse transformer. When the input BNC cable is moved/rotated, it will rotate the center pin and break the transformer wire. This is exactly what happened to me; gave me a serious headache while troubleshooting my sound system. Mounting the components to a PCB would have prevented this, and should not break the bank while designing a 50¤ piece of equipment.
