Use; no matter how great the set-up is, if the throne is wobbly and askew, it makes even the simple beats messy to play by wasting energy on trying to keep balance and stay on the same height. A good drum throne is a must for touring and live shows, cuz it?s highly likely the local club thrones will be worn out and unreliable.
Pros; + good metal composite and solid locks! If taken care of, this throne will last for quite some time. + the shape of the seat is very comfortable for longer shows and rehearsing. I find the small round seats uncomfortable + for the price, it?s well built, solid, double braced legs for stability. + pretty light, which is an advantage for transporting and mobility.
Cons; - be careful not to move around on it too much as it will loosen the top lock, under the seat - as it is not super heavy-duty built, watch out for resting your weight on one side as it can bend the main bar, making it near impossible to maintain balance afterwards. - i would suggest getting a separate carrying bag for it, as it does not come with one. The cover of the seat is great, but it will scratch and rip if continuously thrown into the same harware case along with cymbal stands and other hardware.
Summary; To buy or not to buy? ? Buy! For the price, it?s great and reliable.
