Bought it in a bundle (with a Millenium stand and hi-hat pad) in order to replace my Alesis Command hi-hat controller.
PROS: It works as advertised, as a toggle switch. For my particular case (Alesis Command) it must be connected through the adapter cable and set to "B" position.
CONS: The two concentric shafts are poorly finished, so the device "squeaks" pretty badly and it's getting stuck. It'll drive you nuts, I mean it. So, what to do? Take it apart (yes, it will void the warranty) and use fine grit sandpaper (800 will do nicely) on the shafts. Polish the thin one inside and outside and bigger one on the inside only. Don't overdo it, just enough to make the surfaces smooth. Clean the shafts and rub the contact surfaces with a paper towel with a drop or two of mineral oil. If you're using the Millenium stand, sand the plastic shaft from it also (it's the short pipe just above the felt pad). Hope it helps.
Hi-Hat Controller The electronic hi-hat pedal allows the opening and closing of the "Hi-Hat", Hi-Hat "closed sound" - hi-hat "open sound", With a switch, so it will fit on all standard sound...
