'Brilliant' in more ways that one! This is a lovely sounding crash, it's full and quick with a nice decay and the tone is less brash and trashy than many.
The Meinl MCS series is a real favourite of mine - they are the sweet spot between the price and the quality, I really wouldn't need to spend more on something like a splash. I'd also avoid the HCS series as they are brass versus the bronze of the MCS.
The cymbal itself is well finished, bright and shiny and the edge not unacceptably sharp like 'budget' brands. It also feels solid enough so I doubt it'll crack unless belted to within an inch of its life.
I'd suggest it's worth the asking price and recommend it anyone!
