Nice loud crash for the price! I play hard rock/metal and I found this to be a great cymbal that suits the style well. It may not be as suited for softer genres and one drawback is that it's not very thin and really not good for accenting. But I use it for carrying only so this isn't a problem for me. If you're looking for a loud, heavy duty crash go for it, but if you want a more crisp, accent-based cymbal maybe this isn't for you.
Sounds very good live and on recording for a good old fashioned Dave Grohl/SOAD heavy smashy sound. But after a year of intense playing there was a crack in the edge which gives it a horrible sizzling sound.
I'm a very hard hitter, but I've never broken another cymbal in a year.
That said, for the price it was good, and I'd probably buy it again if I was recording more of the same style of music any time soon.
