HyDrive HD 210

I bought the Hartke HD210 about 1 month ago, the reason for the purchase was to down size my rig, save on the carrying and have more space in my vehicle. From A Hartke VX410 a Hartke 410XL (on top) along with a Hartke HA350 head. Nothing wrong with the sound, I love it!
The set up now is the VX410 the HD 210 and the HA350. This rig I think gives a fuller rounder sound (thinking along the sound from a Ampeg rig)
The power handling of the HD 210 (500w) means I can hook up the HA350 head on its own for smaller gigs. I tried this out and the same full rounded sound I was very pleased with is there, there is a 3 way switch on the back to change the tweeter volume (-6db, off, and on), I didn?t notice to much difference with that until I tried out a bit of slap. (I don?t normally play any slap), and then it was clear to hear the difference in the settings, I have left mine set at -6db. Which suits the type of music our band plays Blues / Soul.
The difference in the weight from a 410 to the HD210 is significant you can carry it with one hand,
The construction is as good as my other cabinets which have been gigged for about 8 years and are as solid as day one.
The textured vinyl covering I don?t think is as durable as the rugged carpet on the older cabinets and may get torn if scraped hard on other equipment, I had to glue the torn vinyl back down on the HA350 head, but this is only cosmetic and no damage to the actual wood work, it gives it the road worn look so many people are after.
I think I have a very good sounding rig at a lot less cost than the Ampeg rig I play with at our rehearsal studio.
In conclusion I am very happy with my set up and sound, be it the Hartke HD210 on its own or with the VX410. (Must try the HD 210 with the 410XL cabinet now). If it got stolen, yes, I would replace it with the same.

Light, loud, well-built.

I'm driving this with a TC Electronic BQ500. The combination is wayyy loud and sounds good although don't expect 15 inch bass from 10 inch speakers. It only has a handle on one side which is OK to carry, but I would have preferred 2 so that you can set it down straight onto the rubber feet - or a second set of rubber feet on the opposite side from the handle.

Great cabinet

Works great, especially with Hartke LH series amps.
Easy enough to carry, but still 20kg so keep that in mind.

I've been looking for a 2x10 for a while now, and recently cut my shortlist down to three contenders, which I all tested. The contenders were:

- Markbass Traveler 102P
- Gallien Krueger CX210
- Hartke HD210

Although they all had their pros and cons, the Hartke eventually won it for me.

Sound wise, the Hartke has quite a mid rich sound, which makes it very suitable for rock and pop. A pick sound really comes alive on this thing. The adjustable tweeter is very nice, and switched off, it will help create a more smooth and bass rich sound if needed.

Design wise, it looks very nice with the aluminium cones, and the weight is very acceptable at 17 kilograms. It has a handle on the side, making for easy transportation. This is the 210 cab of my choice.
