Impressed by the quality

I have had the PowerPlant ISO-1 Pro for a few weeks now and feel I can give a balanced opinion.

I use it to power a pedalboard with 8 pedals - home studio use primarily:
- Tuner
- TS808
- T-Rex Dual Drive
- Trem
- Delay
- Phaser
- Digital Reverb
- Looper

I previous used the PowerPlant Junior but as it only yields around 100mA per output it means my digital pedals and my looper didn't get sufficient juice to do the job.

I have also tried an alternative power supply which did not have isolated outputs and as a result I got a lot of noise.

With the PowerPlant ISO-1 Pro, I get a power supply with isolated outputs with 500mA - easily enough to drive the pedals I use.

The design is very nice and the build quality seems fine. I do not know what excessive use of the sockets will do to the power supply but at the price point, this is an incredible deal.

The only negative is the normally superior Thomann customer service let me down a little. The item was not in stock when I made my purchase, and the due date was moved numerous times without notifying me. That left me in the dark over when I could expect delivery. That is never nice as a customer.

Fremragende til prisen

Den lille strømforsyning holder hvad den lover, der er absolut ingen støj i mine pedaler længere.
Enheden er let at placere og fylder ikke ret meget, hvilket er fedt på et mindre board.
Det eneste minus er kablernes længde, som alle er ens, det kan give lidt kludder omkring strømforsyningen, og så er ledningen til strømforsyningens egen forsyning ret tynd.
Men til prisen er det absolut godkendt.

Solid unit. Haven't used it long enough to know if it will last but it seems sturdy enough. Isolated outputs are a must but it usually doesn't come cheap. Each output is 500 mA which is sufficient for the vast majority of pedals.

My only gripe with this power supply—and it is truly a minor one—is that the LEDs are ridiculously bright. Fortunately a piece of masking tape easily fixes that.

The ISO-1 is very light, so it does not add a lot of weight to a pedalboard.
Beware that It says 500mA on all of the 8 outputs, you can not draw a total of 4A with the supplied adapter, max. is 18W which equals 2A @ 9V.
I tried the powersupply on my main board, there is no noise and hum at all from it, so it works absolutely as Thomann claims.

Also note that here is no ringtraffo in the silver box, so there is zero magnetic interference comming from it, which probably also make it so cost effective since production does not need to use a lot on shielding the unit.

I use the powerplant for a small board that only has 9V pedals on it, although there is a doubler for 18V included 12V is not an option.
