Great first Ukulele, and not to be underestimated even by experienced players.

What do I think of the Harley Benton Ukulele HBUK11-NT
This is a great little uke especially when you consider its low price.
It is very comfortable to play. It was the first ukulele I owned and the tone is excellent.
Although I loved this uke I have not done it any favors. First I fitted a piezo rod electric pickup and now I have it strung and tuned as a Mando-uke or a Uke-olin whichever name you prefer (perhaps I should patent the idea) as it makes a perfect pocket mandolin using only one course of strings for practicing and traveling.
I am sure that someone at Harley Benton will be pulling their hair out at this review and shouting sacrilege but in my defense my great niece who recently appeared on the scene will be getting one of these ukes as her first instrument as will any more additions to the Cotton Haired clan.
Almost impossible to tune. Tuning machines are very, very sensitive and detune easily. Never use ukuleles with similar tuning machine mechanism. Would not recommend for beginner, as it might be very complicated to get tuned this instrument for beginner. And would not recommend for professional as well as professional might seek for overall higher quality product.
