Just upgraded from a pair of 15" to these. First impressions, they look good, very compact for an 18 and not too heavy. Feel solid and well made. Took them out on their first gig last night and was very impressed. Massive amount of clear, well defined bass. Not at all muddy or boomy. Of all the passive 18s in this price range I've demoed, these blow the others out of the water. (and some much more expensive options as well) If you are in the market for new subs these really do take some beating.
Top build quality, good deep and clear bass, but I found that for my small pub five piece rock band, that these were a little too much, in terms of size and weight, to get in and out of small tight pub doors and crowds, and a little too deep and rich sound wise, they were over bearing on the sound even at low volume levels, (I should have used a little tone adjustment on them, but didn't, my bad). Great cabs though, perfect for DJ's!, and gigging in nightclubs, also good for pub bands, but you really will need a way to adjust tone as well as volume, these can be overpowering to the mix, even at low volume without basic tone adjustment, apart from that?, great!.
