I use these strings in E-standard on a humbucker guitar. They give you just a little extra mojo with the slightly thicker strings. If you want the feel of 46-10s, Eb-standard tuning is the way to go. But if you play jazz or heavy rock, E-standard is great. If you tune to E bending will be a bit harder in the beginning, but as you improve you will apreciate the extra fullness you get because of the slighty higher gauge. The M-steels are great and really scream, but they are also dynamic.
