Right out of the bag these picks are great, the grip is your average tortex feel.
They all look nice, and there is not one "bad egg" among. These 1,35 are a great edition of the jazz III pick, but i feel that the grip could have some sort of rough material so that the pick does not move at all. If you play a song, you will have to adjust your grip once in a while. So the grip could be better. Some may feel that if you sweat they get more slippery, however this is not my experience/for me they behave alike sweaty hands or not.
Furthermore the 1,35 is too thick for me because the tip is not sculpted at all, this will improve when you have been using it for a while. Next time I will go down a step, so that this process happens faster. This could be seen as a downside, but it also makes them very durable and feeling new for longer, and when it is worn enough it will also be in that "great worn state" for longer.
All in all these are great for the price, durable and nice to play.
I bought these picks because I thought they would be just like the regular Jazz III picks only made out of another material, I really enjoy playing with Jazz III picks and always loved the tortex grip so I thought it would be the perfect combination. When comparing to the regular Jazz III picks, the tortex ones have much more sharp edges, which makes the pick not slide so well on the strings like the regular Jazz III picks, this means you have to apply more pressure on the strings making the playing not so effortless. However after a week of playing the edges will get duller and the pick will slide much better on the strings, similar to the Jazz III picks.
They are very nice picks, i do like playing with them, however do not expect them to be just like the regular Jazz III picks but made out of a different material.
