I've been a long time Tortex user until a little red Jazz iii fell out of a book at work. Noone claimed it so it came home with me. Was nice, bit small though. Step in the Jazz iii XL. About the size of a 'normal' plectrum, pretty stiff but very responsive. As a chord basher/wanna be punk rocker the larger pick size helps my flailing right hand no end. Grippy enough not to fly out of my hand but smooth enough to make a balanced and clear sound pop out of my amp.
I'm a convert, these picks have transformed my playing. Due to their thicker size and pointed tip I'm forcing myself to be more accurate and play lighter, even if my picking arm still flaps around uncontrollably occasionally.
Shape is great, string response is great, BRIGHT attack, precise but back can be bigger and if you are aggressive it can be hard to keep grip. Back part maybe can be enlarged slightly as the MaxGrip and the same texture grip surface applied. Dunlop please note ;)
