These finger picks are the first I've seen made from brass. Having recently found the correct size of thumb pick I decided to give them a try. I never managed with plastic finger picks (they always keep coming off), but brass can be bent to shape so they actually stay on. I'm trying all the different gauges and haven't yet found a preference.
I bought these picks to use on pedal steel guitar. Having always used nickel picks, I was never totally satisfied with the attack-sound I was getting. It always seemed harsh or tin-sounding. These brass picks have resolved that - they produce a nice, warm, mellow tone with no scratchy overtones. They also allow for easy shaping to your choice.
