I'll have to admit I was a little cautious buying Dixon, as opposed to some of the bigger brands shall we say, but wow I was wrong! I used quite heavy hats but the 'spring' in the pedal was perfect for my uses.
Price: I'm sure there are cheaper you can buy, and I'm sure there is more expensive. So we will consider this middle of the market. For this category it was perfect, everything worked exactly as it should.
Functionality: It does everything you expect from a hat stand, with the added bonus that you can adjust quite a few parameters to tailor it to your liking, such as twisting the feet so that you have room for your double kick (should you use them!)
Sturdyness: Solid as a rock! I used 16" hats and there was never any mush in the pedal, solid spring and the hats stayed perfectly in place when not in use. I've been using them for a long time now, and they are still as springy as when I started.
Overall: I couldn't recommend them enough, this is a great stand in its' own right, let alone for the price. Well done Dixon, and great service from Thomann
