Category of inexpensive studio microphones in the environment is considered to be an audiophile little defective. So I want to say a few words in defense of Behringer C1. The most important rule - it's high quality microphone cable and a good preamp (sound card ) . In my case, this card from Line 6 and cords Cordial, which I also got to Thomann . The noise level was low, and the recording quality has generally improved . With this chain , I work 2 years - write an acoustic guitar and flute. Moreover, with the growth of my skills also improved the quality of the recording . Later I began to use it for audio programs on the channel You Tube. After a while, I got a more expensive mic, but the part with Behringer C1 I'm not in a hurry. Basically, now I use it for voice vote. Conclusion: High-quality microphone in your niche will suit beginners and beyond: for video ( voice recording ) for home recording , sound recording learning tricks . In the right hands can produce good results.
I'm using this for recording my current album, together with the 1204 mixer. See my review of that for details about problems I had with the headphone amp making me think this mic was not up to it - very noisy on that but check out the playback from the recording - absolutely perfect! Best to find a decent headphone amp as well, to hear what this mic is really capable of delivering. If you want to hear a sample of the work I have done with this rig, check out my soundcloud latest recordings at [LINK] and you can compare the difference to the earlier recording done with the Ipad internal mic - quite a difference, yet the Ipad has a great mic also, so that saying a lot for the C1. I was worried at first yet now I am completely satisfied and am not looking for another mic, at any price - this is perfectly good enough to record an album with. At this price it is a gift from Behringer to all of us poor musician folk strugling to survive and do our work as well. Thanks Mr B.
