I have bought a lot from Thomann, mainly recorders, in the past but I don't usually review the products because 1. they usually have a few reviews already and 2. With recorders I think there are many people with a far greater experience than me. However this Tenor Ukulele is fantastic and has only one German review. It looks stunning and simple, slightly darker spruce than I expected, almost coffee coloured. It is a beautiful looking instrument, almost 1960's hippie in it's total reliance on wood for finishing. It sounds bright and clear with a good sustain. As mentioned in the previous German review the fret edges are rougher than they should be, but only slightly, I haven't felt the need to file them. It looks and sounds great. The tailpiece is simplier than on an earlier Ortega concert ukulele I have but this blends in well with the instrument. The fret markers are made of a lighter wood and look far better than the photo suggested. The price seems to be falling at the moment. I paid £139. It's worth ever penny. Well done Ortega. A real folkie looking gem. I love the looks and the sound.
