Great sound. Excellent! especially for quick workflow and live/jam situations
Great sounding voice. Very fun to patch. The internal normalling/patching is pretty intuitive. Patching up a nice sounding voice is really quick and fluid and excellent for live/jam sessions in that regard. The semi-modular yet flexible routing means less cable clutter. This is my new favourite module.
Honestly, this and one or two support modules or another is all i need for most of my practical everyday patches and still be able to add a bit of a personal signature.
The factory setting for the resonance response was hitting self resonance way too early for my personal taste, giving little playroom for subtler changes, but i believe there might be a trimpot for that... i haven't taken out the module to check closely after installation yet but there were plenty of trimpots onboard for various things if you feel something needs to be calibrated.
A fun easter egg is that in gate vca mode, if you hit gate in and the gate button at the same time, you get a massively overdriven sound. It's a cool momentary switch effect to sometimes have.
The thing i'm missing mostly would be to bypass the end vca completely (maybe a mk2 model could have a 3-way switch for env/gate/bypass).
The second is a resonance level jack, but panel space is precious and you have to have some limitations.
The second thing i'm missing is an input jack for the s&h circuit, but again pace is limited so i get that. It's still great that you can use the s&h semi-separately from the LFO as a stepped random source with an external clock.

Sh101+
Alles wat je uit de roland sh101 kunt halen maar dan met heel veel extra modular mogelijkheden om hem te combineren met de overige modules uit je rack. Ook is de mod functie een gave toevoeging welke je kunt inzetten als een extra oscillator.

Taattua Intellijelin laatua. Todella hyvän kuuloinen 101 klooni, jossa on alkuperäistä monipuolisemmat soundin muokkausmahdollisuudet. Soundi on omaan makuuni sopivan puhdas ja elektroninen, sopii todella monenlaiseen musiikkiin. Suosittelen lämpimästi.
