I certainly did not expect this from Epiphone. I'll start with the bad and end with the good.
The first thing that catches your eye is varnish and deck. The lacquer feels like a canvas primer, feels like I can scrape it off with my finger, but it's quite strong, though it feels a little unreliable. The soundboard is too light for the neck. I understand this is SG and there is no implied balance. The fact is that the deck is made as if from cardboard, it is very very light, it feels like it weighs 1 - 1.2 kg. Together with varnish, this causes a feeling of fragility and insecurity. Next, you can pay attention to the pegs. It seems to be good, for such a price they do quite a job. But I always recognize the cheapest Chinese tuners. Sound. The sound cannot enter the metal, it chokes. I have a good marshall, and it's definitely not the combo. The sound is cheap but playable if this is your first guitar. What's good. This guitar looks really cool. It looks expensive and concrete until you take it in your hands. There are no inaccuracies on the varnish, everything is well covered. Everything is clearly in place, and cosmetically done with high quality.
I honestly didn't expect this from this company. For this money, take better HB and enjoy life.
