Sulla traccia stereo finale vengono utilizzati svariati <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thomann.de\/it\/effetti_e_processori_segnale1.html\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>effetti<\/strong><\/a> per dare l&#8217;ultima sistemata all&#8217;intero <strong>mix<\/strong>. Viene utilizzato un <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thomann.de\/it\/effetti_e_processori_di_segnale.html\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>equalizzatore<\/strong><\/a> per cambiare la risposta di determinate frequenze, per aprire un p\u00f2 il <strong>suono<\/strong> generale o per amplificare qualche frequenza andata persa durante il mixaggio. Il mastering \u00e8 anche il momento in cui normalmente vengono utilizzati il <strong>compressore<\/strong> e il <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thomann.de\/it\/limiters.html\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>limiter<\/strong><\/a>, volti ad ottenere la famosa &#8220;loudness&#8221;, per ottenere lo stesso volume delle tracce commerciali e far s\u00ec che l&#8217;ascoltatore non debba variare il volume mentre ascolta canzoni diverse. Il compressore serve a &#8220;amalgamare&#8221; per bene tutti gli elementi per ottenere un buon muro sonoro. C&#8217;\u00e8 chi utilizza anche il <strong>reverbero<\/strong> durante il mastering, per dare un diverso &#8220;mood&#8221; al pezzo.<\/p>\n<p>Durante il mastering vengono spesso utilizzate apparecchiature analogiche, soprattutto in caso di <strong>compressori<\/strong> ed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thomann.de\/it\/effetti_e_processori_di_segnale.html\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>equalizzatori<\/strong><\/a>, che spesso\u00a0costano svariate migliaia di euro a seconda della loro qualit\u00e0 e tipologia di suono &#8211; come ad esempio il\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thomann.de\/it\/manley_massiv_passiv_stereo_mastering.htm\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Manley Massive Passive<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0e l&#8217;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thomann.de\/it\/spl_iron_black.htm\" target=\"_blank\">SPL Iron<\/a><\/strong>. Per ottenere il <strong>formato<\/strong> desiderato, sia esso pronto a essere stampato su CD-R, su Vinile o esportato in formato digitale, c&#8217;\u00e8 bisogno di utilizzare attrezzatura di alto livello per regolare il <strong>sample<\/strong> <strong>rate<\/strong>, la <strong>quantizzazione<\/strong>, il valore di <strong>dither<\/strong>, il <strong>noise<\/strong> <strong>shaping<\/strong>, tags e tanto altro. Sempre pi\u00f9 spesso produttori e tecnici di mastering utilizzano dei <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thomann.de\/it\/audio_and_effects_plugins.html\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>plug-in<\/strong><\/a> digitali al posto dell&#8217;<strong>hardware analogico<\/strong> per ottenere i propri master, come quelli offerti da <strong>UAD<\/strong>. Se, ad esempio, il <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thomann.de\/it\/batterie_acustiche.html\" target=\"_blank\">rullante<\/a> risulta troppo &#8216;squillante&#8217; o fastidioso, \u00e8 possibile applicare un <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thomann.de\/it\/search_dir.html?bf=&amp;sw=De-Esser\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>De-Esser<\/strong><\/a> solamente sulla parte centrale del mix, lasciando intatti gli elementi L-R (Left-Right) che quindi non verranno processati dal De-Esser.
