L\u2019occasion pour nous de revenir sur les nombreuses \u00e9volutions d\u2019un musicien fan de matos.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"western\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>Yardbirds : les d\u00e9buts (1963 &#8211; 1965)<\/b><\/h2>\n<p align=\"left\">Au commencement \u00e9taient les Yardbirds. Apr\u00e8s une enfance compliqu\u00e9e, <strong>Eric commence vraiment \u00e0 jouer de la guitare \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e2ge de quinze ans<\/strong>. Il est profond\u00e9ment influenc\u00e9 par les disques de blues am\u00e9ricain qui circulent parmi les adolescents britanniques au d\u00e9but des ann\u00e9es 1960. Il d\u00e9veloppe son jeu \u00e9lectrique en \u00e9coutant les grands comme B.B. King, Freddie King et Buddy Guy, puis <strong>\u00e0 l\u2019\u00e2ge de 18 ans il rejoint le groupe de rhythm n\u2019 blues The Yardbirds<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Le manager des Yardbirds lui confie alors la guitare qui va avec le job : une superbe <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thomann.fr\/fender_player_plus_tele_pf_fr.htm?__cTr=75968cfc-545a-41bc-9d33-ff2cca6793e0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fender Telecaster de 1963<\/a><\/strong>, un mod\u00e8le avec touche palissandre dans une tr\u00e8s belle couleur custom Fiesta Red. \u00c0 l\u2019\u00e9poque, les Fender ne sont pas si courantes de l\u2019autre c\u00f4t\u00e9 de l\u2019Atlantique. Clapton se branche sur un <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thomann.fr\/vox_ac30_c2_gitarrencombo.htm?__cTr=d40dbcd7-00d4-4f98-a386-aae30c1f56fe\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Vox AC30<\/a><\/strong>, l\u2019ampli de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence de la plupart des artistes britanniques de l\u2019\u00e9poque. Pour s\u2019approcher du son de son idole dans le genre, Freddie King, il voulait une Gibson Les Paul Gold Top. On l\u2019aper\u00e7oit sur quelques photos, et on l\u2019entend bien sur l\u2019album <i>John Mayall &amp; The Bluesbreakers With Eric Clapton<\/i>. Pour cet enregistrement, il s\u2019est branch\u00e9 sur un <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thomann.fr\/marshall_1962_bluesbreaker.htm?__cTr=b987c9ad-d39f-4726-a4d6-503e6128e2f9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">combo\u00a0 Marshall 1962 Bluesbreaker<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0bien pouss\u00e9, et l\u2019overdrive qui en a r\u00e9sult\u00e9 est entr\u00e9e dans la l\u00e9gende.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"western\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>Cream : exploration de l\u2019univers Gibson (1967 &#8211; 1968)<\/b><\/h2>\n<p align=\"left\">Apr\u00e8s le vol de sa \u2018Burst ador\u00e9e, Clapton a emprunt\u00e9 et achet\u00e9 des Les Paul \u00e0 plusieurs de ses amis, Keith Richards et Andy Summers notamment. Puis lorsqu\u2019il a mont\u00e9 le power trio Cream, on l\u2019a vu avec plusieurs mod\u00e8les Gibson dont il a tir\u00e9 des sons qui ont d\u00e9fini le blues psych\u00e9d\u00e9lique britannique. Il y a aussi la ES-335 rouge de 1964, reconnaissable par ses rep\u00e8res de touche en blocs et son chevalet fixe. L\u2019exp\u00e9rience sera de courte dur\u00e9e mais pour leur premier concert \u00e0 Hyde Park, Clapton a une <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thomann.fr\/fender_sq_cv_60s_custom_tele_3_sb.htm?__cTr=40fbb31f-a06f-4446-9a03-ae1e5757cbf9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Telecaster Custom sunburst de 1962<\/a><\/strong>.
