C&rsquo;est souvent la premi\u00e8re question que l&rsquo;on se pose quand on n&rsquo;est pas harpiste !<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Contrairement au piano, o\u00f9 les touches noires et blanches forment un motif tr\u00e8s clair, les cordes de la harpe se ressemblent toutes \u00e0 premi\u00e8re vue. Mais rassure-toi, les fabricants de harpes ont pens\u00e9 \u00e0 tout. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a><\/a>Un code couleur bien particulier<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Si tu regardes l&rsquo;instrument de pr\u00e8s, tu verras un d\u00e9tail crucial : alors que <strong>presque <\/strong>toutes les cordes de la harpe<strong> sont blanches ou transparentes<\/strong> selon le mat\u00e9riau, certaines cordes sont <strong>rouges <\/strong>et d\u2019autres sont <strong>noires<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Voici pourquoi :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Les cordes rouges correspondent toujours<strong> \u00e0 la note Do<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Les cordes noires (ou parfois bleu fonc\u00e9) correspondent toujours <strong>\u00e0 la note Fa<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 ces deux rep\u00e8res bien visibles, le musicien sait exactement o\u00f9 se trouvent toutes les autres notes. p\u00e9dale poss\u00e8de <strong>trois positions<\/strong> (il y a des petites encoches dans lesquelles on la bloque).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>En haut : la note est <strong>b\u00e9mol <\/strong>(l\u00e9g\u00e8rement plus grave).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Au milieu (position de base) : la note est <strong>b\u00e9carre <\/strong>(naturelle, pas alt\u00e9r\u00e9e).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>En bas : la note est <strong>di\u00e8se <\/strong>(l\u00e9g\u00e8rement plus aigue).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a><\/a>Mais que se passe-t-il quand on appuie sur les p\u00e9dales d\u2019une harpe ?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">C&rsquo;est l\u00e0 que la grande colonne \u00e0 l&rsquo;avant (celle qui encaisse les 2 tonnes de pression) joue son deuxi\u00e8me r\u00f4le. Elle est compl\u00e8tement creuse !<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00c0 l&rsquo;int\u00e9rieur se cachent de longues tringles m\u00e9talliques reli\u00e9es aux p\u00e9dales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Quand le harpiste <strong>enfonce une p\u00e9dale <\/strong>(donc en position basse), la tringle tire sur un m\u00e9canisme situ\u00e9 tout en haut de l&rsquo;instrument (dans la console).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Des petits disques dor\u00e9s avec des picots (on appelle \u00e7a les <strong>fourchettes<\/strong>) tournent et viennent pincer la corde concern\u00e9e pour la <strong>raccourcir <\/strong>l\u00e9g\u00e8rement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Et hop ! En raccourcissant la corde, la note devient di\u00e8se et <strong>le son monte d&rsquo;un demi-ton.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De la m\u00eame mani\u00e8re, en <strong>montant la p\u00e9dale<\/strong>, la corde se retrouve l\u00e9g\u00e8rement <strong>d\u00e9tendue <\/strong>par l\u2019action des fourchettes, se qui la rend b\u00e9mol (<strong>le son baisse d\u2019un demi-ton<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a><\/a>Une vraie danse de claquettes \u00e0 la harpe<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">C&rsquo;est pour cette raison que l\u2019on voit souvent les harpistes comme <strong>\u201cdanser\u201d <\/strong>sur leurs p\u00e9dales pendant un morceau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00c0 chaque fois que la partition demande un di\u00e8se ou un b\u00e9mol en cours de route (et \u00e7a arrive tr\u00e8s tr\u00e8s souvent !!), le musicien doit anticiper et changer la position de la p\u00e9dale avec son pied, sans s&rsquo;arr\u00eater de jouer avec ses mains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00c7a demande une coordination absolument dingue ! Mais \u00e7a, c\u2019est le cas pour tous les instruments de musique quand on y pense ! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a><\/a>La harpe dans l&rsquo;orchestre : l&rsquo;instrument des effets magiques<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Quand on \u00e9coute un orchestre symphonique, la harpe n&rsquo;est pas toujours l&rsquo;instrument qui joue la m\u00e9lodie principale au premier plan. Son r\u00f4le est souvent diff\u00e9rent, plus subtil, <strong>mais tout aussi essentiel.<\/strong> Elle est l\u00e0 pour apporter de la <strong>couleur<\/strong>, de la <strong>lumi\u00e8re <\/strong>et une <strong>texture <\/strong>unique au reste de l&rsquo;orchestre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a><\/a>Le fameux glissando d\u2019une harpe<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/media1.giphy.com\/media\/v1.Y2lkPTc5MGI3NjExb2hyYW43ajhuczBqeTVidjFpd2V5YmptbHFtdW5saXRwaWkxbzRoMyZlcD12MV9pbnRlcm5hbF9naWZfYnlfaWQmY3Q9Zw\/wEhenh88KJ8Na\/giphy.gif\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">S&rsquo;il y a bien une technique qu&rsquo;on associe imm\u00e9diatement \u00e0 la harpe, c&rsquo;est le <strong>glissando<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tu sais, ce grand balayage tr\u00e8s rapide des cordes, de bas en haut (ou de haut en bas), qui donne l&rsquo;impression qu&rsquo;une <strong>cascade de notes<\/strong> traverse la salle de concert (ou qu\u2019une <strong>pluie d&rsquo;\u00e9toiles filantes<\/strong> traverse l&rsquo;orchestre !). \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mais comment font les harpistes pour que \u00e7a sonne toujours parfaitement juste, sans accrocher une seule fausse note au passage alors qu&rsquo;ils balaient toutes les cordes \u00e0 toute vitesse ?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">C&rsquo;est l\u00e0 que le syst\u00e8me de p\u00e9dales prend tout son sens. Avant de lancer son glissando, le musicien<strong> r\u00e8gle ses p\u00e9dales <\/strong>pour que l&rsquo;ensemble des 47 cordes forme un accord bien pr\u00e9cis (par exemple, un accord de septi\u00e8me). Une fois les p\u00e9dales bloqu\u00e9es dans les bonnes encoches, l&rsquo;instrument est \u201c<strong>accord\u00e9<\/strong>\u201d sur mesure pour cet instant pr\u00e9cis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le harpiste n&rsquo;a plus qu&rsquo;\u00e0 glisser son doigt sur les cordes d&rsquo;un geste fluide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a><\/a>Les harmoniques d\u2019une harpe<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Une autre technique fascinante que les compositeurs adorent utiliser, ce sont<strong> les harmoniques.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pour les obtenir, le harpiste vient \u00e9touffer la base de la corde avec la paume de sa main, tout en la pin\u00e7ant avec le pouce juste au-dessus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le r\u00e9sultat ? Le son produit r\u00e9sonne une octave plus haut, avec<strong> un timbre d&rsquo;une puret\u00e9 incroyable<\/strong>, presque irr\u00e9el.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">C&rsquo;est ce genre de d\u00e9tails sonores qui rend la harpe absolument indispensable dans les <strong>musiques de films<\/strong> ou les \u0153uvres de compositeurs <strong>impressionnistes <\/strong>comme Claude Debussy ou Maurice Ravel.
