Incluso en iluminaci\u00f3n hay una regla que sigue siendo v\u00e1lida: saber m\u00e1s siempre ayuda. Y con un poco de lectura, t\u00fa tambi\u00e9n podr\u00e1s usar DMX. Entonces, \u00bfqu\u00e9 es exactamente el DMX y c\u00f3mo funciona? <strong>\u00a1Gu\u00e1rdate este art\u00edculo en favoritos!<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\"><strong>Las bases del DMX: es una se\u00f1al de control<\/strong>, el idioma con el que se maneja la iluminaci\u00f3n<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00bfQu\u00e9 es el DMX? Seguro que ya sabes que hoy en d\u00eda los focos se pueden programar para crear escenas muy distintas entre s\u00ed. Parpadeos, movimiento de haces de luz, cambios de patrones, disparo de humo&#8230; En algunos shows se controlan al mismo tiempo m\u00e1s de cincuenta focos. Y claro, eso ser\u00eda imposible si hubiera que manejarlos uno por uno a mano, sin programaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Aqu\u00ed es donde entra el DMX: ni m\u00e1s ni menos que el protocolo de control de iluminaci\u00f3n que se usa en todo el mundo. La idea es sencilla: la consola y los aparatos conectados se comunican mediante DMX, que significa \u201cDigital Multiplex\u201d. Resumiendo, <strong>el DMX es el \u201cidioma\u201d del control de luces.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thomann.de\/blog\/app\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2025\/09\/le-dmx-cest-quoi-1024x408.jpg\" alt=\"\u00bfQu\u00e9 es el DMX?\n\" class=\"wp-image-10014854\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\"><strong>Introducci\u00f3n: el DMX permite enviar \u00f3rdenes: color, intensidad, orientaci\u00f3n de los focos&#8230;<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cambios de color, orientaci\u00f3n de los focos, variaci\u00f3n de intensidad\u2026 las \u00f3rdenes que queremos enviar a los proyectores pasan por los cables y se leen en protocolo DMX. Para hacer llegar esa informaci\u00f3n hasta los focos, lo m\u00e1s habitual es usar una consola f\u00edsica (la t\u00edpica que ves en salas y conciertos) o un ordenador con un software adecuado.<br><br>En la pr\u00e1ctica, una l\u00ednea DMX transporta <strong>se\u00f1ales digitales<\/strong> por un cable (normalmente XLR de 3 o 5 pines) y permite controlar:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>los <strong>focos<\/strong> (intensidad, colores, gobos, zoom, tilt\/pan en cabezas m\u00f3viles, etc.),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>las <strong>m\u00e1quinas de humo o haze<\/strong>,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>los <strong>estrobos<\/strong>,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>los <strong>l\u00e1seres<\/strong>,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ciertos <strong>controladores LED<\/strong> o dispositivos especiales.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cada aparato recibe una <strong>direcci\u00f3n DMX<\/strong> (el n\u00famero de su buz\u00f3n) y un n\u00famero de canales reservados dentro de esa direcci\u00f3n (el tama\u00f1o del paquete). Despu\u00e9s, la consola DMX env\u00eda una serie de valores (de 0 a 255 por canal) para controlarlo todo, varias veces por segundo (250 kb\/s). La comunicaci\u00f3n va en un solo sentido: desde la consola de control hasta las luces. Como todo va conectado en serie, lo que interesa es que la se\u00f1al se transmita lo mejor posible a lo largo de toda la cadena. Pero no tienen la misma impedancia.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">\u00bfSe puede usar un cable XLR en lugar de un cable DMX para controlar luces?<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">S\u00ed, se puede, pero como la impedancia de un cable de audio no es la misma (45-75 ohmios en un cable de audio frente a 110 ohmios en un cable DMX), puedes encontrarte con algunos problemas en la transmisi\u00f3n de datos: parpadeos no deseados, cortes\u2026 porque el cable no podr\u00e1 transmitir el voltaje adecuado.
