There are, however, all types of DJ\u2019s, who in their long and difficult journey in \u201cgaining experience\u201d have most likely found themselves confronted with the classic (often unpleasant) requests such as \u201cDo you have any other music?\u201d or &#8220;It\u2019s my mate\u2019s birthday, can you play\u2026?&#8221; and the list unfortunately goes on.\u00a0\u00a0Here is a collection of annoying phrases that DJ\u2019s simply would rather not hear.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Can I put my jacket here?<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Your personal belongings are often more safer in a\u00a0cloakroom or the trunk of a car in comparison to the floor of a DJ booth.\u00a0Your valuables will be the last thing on a DJ\u2019s mind. Mixers, decks, the dance floor requires a lot of concentration, the more the DJ is interrupted, the worse the overall experience.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thomann.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/giphy-4.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"325\" height=\"188\" \/><\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li><strong>That\u2019s my fav song, can you play it again?<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Golden rule: there are no repeats in a DJ set.\u00a0Bringing in a particular song is a work of art, just enjoy the rest of the masterpiece.\u00a0Besides, other people may probably leave the dance floor after hearing the same song for the second time.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thomann.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/139025982238173_animate.gif\" \/><\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li><strong>Can you write that down for me?<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>One of the worst things is to\u00a0interrupt a musician during their performance and expect them to search for a pen and paper, while the next track is waiting?\u00a0Just Shazam it already, or ask someone else instead!<\/p>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li>N<strong>ext drink\u2019s on me, if you spin this track from \u2026<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If it fits in the musical framework, chances are you might hear it in the course of the evening, if it doesn\u2019t, then not even bribe attempts are going to help you, especially since DJ\u2019s usually get free drinks. Plus they have a job to do and need to be level headed\u2026 there are exceptions of course.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thomann.de\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/giphy-2.gif\" \/><\/p>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li><strong>I don\u2019t know the name of the song, but it goes something like&#8230;<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>One thing you may notice\u00a0at a DJ event: the volume is high, very high.\u00a0It is therefore almost impossible to understand a drunkard screaming in your ears.\u00a0Even more so when the person in question is singing\/slurring bass lines:\u00a0&#8220;Dadada-dadadadi dadada-dadadadi tschk &#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"6\">\n<li><strong>Can\u2019t you play the whole song?<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Within genres such as dance, EDM and electronic music it is not uncommon to hear snippets of popular songs used as intros or outros, often followed by other songs in quick successions.\u00a0In short, it is a live performance, if you want to hear the original piece, you can do so in the comfort of your own home.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"7\">\n<li><strong>Do you know where I can get some \u2026 ?<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Drinks are at the bar and cigarettes at the vending machines.\u00a0For everything else just ask the friendly staff, bartenders, doorman or manager.\u00a0The DJ is not an information booth!<\/p>\n<ol start=\"8\">\n<li><strong>Can I take a selfie behind the decks as though I\u2019m the DJ?<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Ok, &#8220;Selfies with the DJ&#8221;
