Solos are great. They give a sense of fulfilment to a song and add that flavour that listeners need for completing their journey through the beautiful stream of music. Guitar heroes just as f<\/strong>amous (if not more) as the most famous singers and their guitar licks are known to everybody. But guitar solos are not the only kind of solos that count! One of the most ‘talked about’ Beatles<\/strong> songs – and with a good reason: David<\/strong> Mason<\/strong>‘s trumpet<\/strong><\/a> solo adds some magic flavour to the song which can be hardly described with words. If this wasn’t enough, Mason<\/strong> goes onto a variation<\/strong> (even better, in our opinion) on the last chorus to finish the song.<\/p>\n

Sax<\/strong><\/a> solos<\/strong> are abundant and this is a good thing. However, very few of them are as iconic as the performance delivered by Dick<\/strong> Parry <\/strong>on Pink Floyd’s Money<\/em><\/strong>, a tasteful and emotional solo that walks on the 7\/4 time<\/strong> signature<\/strong> of the song with ease and attitude. Clarence<\/strong> Clemons<\/strong>‘ performance on this song is simply beautiful: a tasty melody<\/strong>, well executed and played with his soul, resulting in an extraordinary<\/strong> solo that sends shivers<\/strong> down your spine. Clemons may not be a sax virtuoso like his fellow colleague Branford<\/strong> Marsalis<\/strong>, but he surely knows how to make your knees tremble a bit with his intensity!<\/p>\n
