Being so personable yet at the same time so critical of the music industry, this artist has been known for fighting political and social injustices for the <\/strong><strong>past decades with his axe. With extraordinary sounds and unconventional virtuosity h<\/strong><strong>e has inspired and motivated entire generations of guitarists. As a guitarist for <strong>Rage Against The Machine<\/strong>, he has played countless concerts and has toured the whole world. In the meantime there have been other formations such as <strong>Audioslave<\/strong> and later <strong>Prophets of Rage <\/strong>and <strong>Street Sweeper Social Club<\/strong>; he also had\/has solo projects called <strong>The Nightwatchman<\/strong> (2003) and <strong>Tom Morello <\/strong>(2018), in which he expresses his political commitments in a singer-songwriter tradition with acoustic guitar.<\/p>\n<p>Politically, <strong>Thomas Baptist Morello<\/strong> does not allow anyone to shut him up, he also happens to be one of music&#8217;s international <strong>trendsetters<\/strong>. He&#8217;s always looking for something new and unfamiliar and it amazes his community of fans. Just as special: How few other guitarists play he\u2019s perfect even when he\u2019s on stage during the show. A real maniac.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">Worldwide fame with Rage Against The Machine<\/h3>\n<p>Rage Against The Machine has a unique crossover <strong>mix of rock and rap<\/strong>, <strong>metal and funk<\/strong>. They ended up headlining <strong>gigantic festival<\/strong> <strong>stages<\/strong> until singer <strong>Zack De La Rocha<\/strong> quit the band due to creative differences<em>. <\/em>In the meantime they formed and succeeded with their separate groups until they <strong>reunited<\/strong> in 2011 all with <strong>Grammy awards<\/strong> below their belts. <strong>This year<\/strong> there was a <strong>world tour<\/strong> and <strong>various festival appearances<\/strong> announced, which, however, will not take place due to the ongoing <strong>covid-19 pandemic<\/strong>. A special trademark of his is <strong>modifying the guitar sounds<\/strong> until the instrument is barely recognisable. His most important tool for this is the <strong>kill switch,<\/strong> via which he switches the signal of the guitar on and off and thereby producing the concise <strong>stutter<\/strong> <strong>effect<\/strong>. The Tom Morello <strong>Soul Power<\/strong> Stratocaster is visibly modified and of course equipped with the famous <strong>kill switch<\/strong>. The guitar has a <strong>Floyd Rose tremolo<\/strong>, so with these two features alone you can get closer to Morello&#8217;s sound, if you can in any way imitate his playing style. It is equipped with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thomann.de\/gb\/search_dir.html?sw=141913%20%20163117&amp;smcs=0&amp;viewMode=block\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Fender Noiseless Pickups<\/strong><\/a> and a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thomann.de\/gb\/seymour_duncan_sshr1b_pickup.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Seymour Duncan Hot Rail<\/strong> <\/a>in the bridge position.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">Well-stocked Pedalboard<\/h3>\n<p>Morello handles his effects in a wide variety of ways. Sometimes he uses many, sometimes none at all. The<br \/>\ntruth is he does the actual artistry with his hands. On his pedalboard there are, for example the <strong>BOSS TR-2 tremolo<\/strong> and a <strong>Dunlop Crybaby Wah<\/strong>, a <strong>Digitech WH-1 Whammy<\/strong> as well a<strong> Boss DD-2 delay<\/strong>. The musical toolbox is completed by a <strong>DOD graphic EQ<\/strong>, an <strong>MXR Phase 90<\/strong> and a <strong>DFL Flanger from Ibanez<\/strong>. At least these are some of his most used effects.
