After all, there were and are numerous female musicians who prove the opposite. One of them &#8211; and probably the most employed &#8211; is<strong> Carol Kaye<\/strong>. She was a member of the <strong>Wrecking Crew<\/strong> and has easily recorded more than <strong>10,000 studio recordings<\/strong>. This is hardly imaginable for a commercial musician in terms of time. She made it and left her low frequency takes on hits like &#8220;<strong>La Bamba<\/strong>&#8220;, or &#8220;<strong>I&#8217;m a Believer<\/strong>&#8220;. Occasionally the line-up was changed. Between 1959 and 1972 they recorded several million-dollar-hits and were mainly responsible for the complex Motown sound. Nobody could groove as confidently as the Funk Brothers, for example on &#8220;<strong>Papa Was a Rolling Stone<\/strong>&#8220;. Many of them were also part of the <strong>Wrecking Crew<\/strong>. Born in 1925, he was initially the most sought-after studio drummer and also <strong>the core of the Funk Brothers<\/strong>. Benny can be heard on recordings by <strong>Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, the Four Tops<\/strong> and numerous others. His standing was so great that he could even afford to be late. Unfortunately, he wasn&#8217;t too late for his own death due to heroin and alcohol addiction. He <strong>died of a stroke at the young age of 43<\/strong> in 1969. From<strong> Wurlitzer<\/strong> to<strong> Fender Rhodes<\/strong> and<strong> Harpsichord<\/strong>, he played everything.
