Other manufacturers such as\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thomann.de\/gb\/glockenklang.html\" target=\"_blank\">Glockenklang<\/a>\u00a0instead have chosen to reproduce the bass signal in\u00a0the purest and transparent manner possible.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>How many watts \/ performance power do I need?\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Tube power and transistor power are not equal!\u00a0In the world of tube amps, 100-200 watts of power is huge!\u00a0The reason for this is the already mentioned harmonic tube distortion, the signal may appear &#8220;thicker&#8221; and &#8220;more powerful&#8221; than transistor amps of\u00a0the same power.\u00a0In the world of transistor amps, lower than 350 watts may not\u00a0even be enough for a larger stage or a loud band.<\/p>\n<p>It is not unusual for Modern Class-D amplifiers to have more than 1000 watts of power. Even if never fully extended, this power in reserve, referred to as &#8220;headroom&#8221; allows for excellent dynamics even at lower volumes. In this case, the more power, the better!<\/p>\n<p>The neutrality of transistor amps have an advantage: it allows you to play all styles without much color.\u00a0Bassists that play in multiple groups or styles will be therefore able to do so adequately.\u00a0And with a minimum power of 350 Watt, you can play anywhere. Do beware, however, on bigger stages it is advisable to use stage monitor systems, this will allow musicians to hear each other better.\u00a0Don\u2019t worry about the crowd, the PA will take care of that!<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Speakers\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>As with amplifiers, the market for speakers also continues to grow, with plenty of choice for all styles, tastes and budgets.<\/p>\n<p><strong>10-inch speakers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>10&#8243; speakers are the most popular size in the world of electric bass.\u00a0They are fast in reproducing the bass signal and are therefore suitable for modern playing techniques such as slapping, tapping, or aggressive plucking.<\/p>\n<p>However, speakers of this size are naturally limited in the reproduction of low bass frequencies.\u00a0For this reason, manufacturers include more than one 10&#8243; speaker\u00a0(for e.g. two or four) in a cabinet.\u00a0The membrane surfaces can add up this way, allowing more air to be moved.
