Being in a band is great, it adds purpose, motivation and catharsis to one’s life and, most importantly, a sense of belonging. On top of that it promotes a feeling of satisfaction from creating something with a group of individuals, working together towards goals and, if all goes well, accomplishing them. But let’s focus on this part for the moment: “if all goes well”. More often than not things do not go well, communication breaks down, tensions run high, personalities clash and even violence ensues among band members. A main cause of these problems is the unconstrained focus on one’s own instrument, getting too attached to it and disregarding the other band mates and their contribution to the overall sound. This addiction inevitably destroys the spirit of collaboration and empathy in a band. At Thomann we have decide to take action and help bands with these all-too-common problems: We opened the Thomann Rehab Center. We invite you to get informed by reading and watching below:<\/p>\n

What we do<\/h3>\n

We’ve hired a team of highly-trained professionals\u00a0<\/strong>who specialise in\u00a0psychology of the creative mind<\/strong>, compulsive creative habits<\/strong> as well as\u00a0group counselling<\/strong>. Their main role is to identify, analyse and correct the problems that occur in bands and guide the members, individually as well as communally, along the path to recovery<\/strong>. This takes place in our center in the far East (location disclosed only upon consultation), a rural complex designed to promote mindfulness, serenity<\/strong> and healing.<\/strong> Bands are invited to take a one-week retreat<\/strong> where they will be guided in activities<\/strong> and exercises<\/strong> that will help them first to let go<\/strong> of their compulsive habits and then to reunite<\/strong> with their band members.<\/p>\n
