Once upon a time, in the center of Italy, a guy called Marco De Virgiliis decided to create a bass amp. After almost 30 years, MarkBass<\/a> (and his subsidiary brands such as DVMark<\/a>, Mark Audio, Mark Drum) is still running strong and its characteristic yellow\/orange and black design combination has become a trademark, having its amplifiers and cabinets played by several high profile artists all over the world.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Russell<\/strong> (Thomann Bass Host<\/em>) and I<\/strong> ( Simon, Italian Community Manager<\/em>) are boarding on a plane to fly \u00a0to a place<\/strong> of wonder<\/strong>. In the center of Abruzzo<\/strong>, in San Giovanni Teatino<\/strong>, MarkBass<\/strong><\/a> official headquarters are awaiting us. Italians are well known for their welcoming<\/strong> manners, and it’s no exception here. After checking in and unpacking our equipment, we get to eat fish<\/strong> in front of the sea<\/strong>, a nice gesture<\/strong> by Marco<\/strong> De<\/strong> Virgiliis<\/strong>, a true gentleman<\/strong> and a musical<\/strong> innovator.<\/p>\n

The next day Marco<\/strong> himself picks us up in front of the hotel<\/strong> and drives us to his… world<\/strong>! Marco is really proud<\/strong> of what he has accomplished and he’s passionate<\/strong> and loving<\/strong> about his company, his employees and his dog<\/strong> like nobody else I’ve ever encountered<\/strong> in my life. The moment<\/strong> we step<\/strong> inside the offices<\/strong>, we realise that his vision<\/strong> goes beyond amplifier manufacturing.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
