Is Ty Segall\u00a0really that significant?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

In today’s world where everything seems to be so\u00a0ephemeral<\/strong>, few musicians –few artists, in general<\/strong>– seem to create a benchmark<\/strong> that will be remembered for decades to come<\/strong>. The case of this Californian<\/strong> is one of them. At just 31 years old<\/strong>, Segall is becoming one of the most prolific musicians ever, surpassing\u00a0thirty studio releases<\/strong><\/a> in only the last 10 years (4 in the last year<\/strong>\u00a0alone<\/strong>)!\u00a0His job is to take a large part of the music of the last 60 years –garage, punk, psychedelia, glam, noise, folk, hard-rock, blues<\/strong>-, mix it and obtain a sound that, despite the obvious influences, sounds very personal<\/strong>. His intuition for riffs and melody<\/strong> and his ability to surround himself with outstanding musicians<\/strong> complete a more-than-perfect equation. If two albums of his discography were to be highlighted, they would be Twins<\/strong> <\/em><\/a>(Drag City, 2012) and Slaughterhouse<\/strong><\/em><\/a> (In the Red, 2012).<\/p>\n\n\t\t
