“Why<\/span> should my little ones do music in the first place? How<\/span> do I know if my child is gifted? When<\/span> is the best time for their first instrument? Which one<\/span> is the most suitable?”<\/strong><\/p>\n

Questions like these are the ones that many parents<\/strong> ask themselves as soon as their children<\/strong> begin to hum, sing or play their first tunes<\/strong>, especially when they reach kindergarten<\/strong> and preschool age<\/strong>. The majority of parents these days are aware that an early entry into music<\/strong> can be very beneficial for the development of their children<\/strong>, and not only from a musical point of view.<\/p>\n

Virtually every child reacts positively<\/strong> to music, and age doesn’t matter<\/strong>. Music is heard very early\u00a0in the womb<\/strong> and after birth the passive phase<\/strong> moves very quickly into the active phase<\/strong>, in which babies move to the rhythm and begin to deal with sounds, notes and tones, to try them out and gain experience. There are even studies that show that the first three years of life have the greatest potential for musical learning<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

It is also a fact that making music promotes not only concentration, perception <\/strong>and coordinated movement<\/strong>, but also memory formation<\/strong> and cognitive abilities<\/strong>. And as far as talent is concerned, it is true that nature seems a little more generous to some, but what really matters is a musical environment and support from the earliest childhood. In most cases, the question of the “right” instrument<\/strong> to choose is at some point answered quite automatically, because it is not unusual for individual preferences<\/strong> to crystallise clearly over time.<\/p>\n
