But what is hidden under the collective &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thomann.de\/gb\/folk_instruments.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>folk instrument<\/strong><\/a>&#8221; is anything but antiquated, even if various instruments can refer to centuries-old tradition. In the past, many of these instruments remained locked up at home and only used for certain celebrations or rituals. But that does not necessarily have to be an exclusion criterion, because what&#8217;s more exciting than incorporating unusual instruments and sounds into your own creations. Folk instruments form a wide spectrum, from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thomann.de\/gb\/thomann_algerian_mondol_10_standard.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Algerian Mondol<\/strong><\/a> to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thomann.de\/gb\/zithers.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Zither<\/strong><\/a> and from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thomann.de\/gb\/search_dir.html?sw=Baglamas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Baglamas<\/strong><\/a> to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thomann.de\/gb\/gewa_musical_saw.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Musical Saw<\/strong><\/a>. That&#8217;s why we chose <strong>five of the most popular and well-known folk instruments<\/strong> on this blog, which you may find in <strong>non-genre<\/strong> environments.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thomann.de\/gb\/banjos.html?sw=Banjo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Banjo<\/a><\/h3>\n<p>This includes the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thomann.de\/gb\/banjos.html?sw=Banjo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>banjos<\/strong><\/a>, whose predecessors were originally brought to North America by African slaves. Although<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thomann.de\/gb\/lutes.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <strong>lutes<\/strong><\/a>, with bodies made from <strong>gourds<\/strong>, are often mentioned as the origin, other instruments of the African continent may have been the godfather. The first <strong>modern-style banjo<\/strong> was mentioned in 1678 in any case and, over time, various versions of this instrument were formed.
