1- \u201cThe Girl Is Mine\u201d with Paul McCartney<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

While this wasn\u2019t Michael Jackson\u2019s only collaboration with Sir Paul McCartney<\/strong>, it is his best-known. On McCartney\u2019s \u201cSay Say Say\u201d<\/em>, his role was that of a featured artist, but \u201cThe Girl Is Mine\u201d<\/em> is a wonderful duet between MJ and the former Beatle. It appeared on one of the world\u2019s most successful albums of all time, Thriller<\/em> (1982), produced by Quincy Jones and engineered by the legendary Bruce Swedien.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The relationship between the two legends wasn\u2019t without problems: later on, a dispute arose between them over Jackson\u2019s purchase of the Beatles\u2019 catalogue rights. \u201cThe Girl Is Mine\u201d<\/em> was also the subject of a copyright lawsuit. But in any case, it is a great song! By the way: \u201cSay Say Say\u201d<\/em>, released on McCartney\u2019s Pipes of Peace<\/em> (1983), is also well worth a listen!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Michael Jackson also collaborated with The Notorious B.I.G.<\/strong> \u2013 twice! On the 1995 album HIStory: Past, Present and Future, Book I<\/em>, the New York rapper can be heard on \u201cThis Time Around\u201d<\/em>. Michael Jackson has numerous siblings, but it was with Janet that he performed \u201cScream\u201d<\/em>. The song from the album HIStory: Past, Present and Future, Book I<\/em>, which deals with rumours about MJ circulating in the press, is not only autobiographical but also truly brilliant \u2013 and hugely successful. It reached the Top 10 in 19 countries worldwide and has sold millions of copies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But it was the video that became the talk of the town in 1995: with a production budget of 7 million dollars, it was the most expensive music video in the world at the time and was considered \u2013 at least back then \u2013 absolutely mind-blowing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
