Hello, if your answer to the most expensive cable includes by the meter cable, an infinite amount of cable is the most expensive. I don’t think the question is valid.

You can’t “get” an infinite amount of cable though, because physics. You also can’t order more than 9999 metres of cable from Thomann, but you can try to order a >€200,000 cable – will your payment go through? Probably not. If it did, would Thomann be able to fulfil it? Very doubtful! So we can’t “get” that either.

Probably best to give them the answer they want and ignore per-metre products.

One thing I dislike is the lack of transparency in the draw. The lack of transparency is frankly astounding.

If you’re doing a random draw, there are some requirements that you’re legally obliged to follow. It’s easiest to outsource that part to a third party service. But you make no mention of that in your terms and conditions.

– How many people participated in each step
– How many gave a correct answer
– What was the correct answer
– How many winners were selected
– Who are the winners (limit that to the initial of their name, initial of their city [in case their locality is the full address] and country) of each item drawn

I received the 7th one ten minutes ago, but clicking on the link in the riddle directs to a page that only gives an error: “Too Many Requests”.

I’m nearly sure the list of prizes shown was always the one for the first quiz, up until this last one. Ouch, there are a lot of prizes that I would have loved to write down!

I am extremely disappointed with this event. The selection process was completely non-transparent. What was the point of tracking your messages and trying to respond as quickly as possible if, in the end, it made no difference?

There were no videos showing how you randomly selected the winners. So much hype around such an important event, and yet everything happens behind closed doors. I did not expect this from you guys.

I kept checking and waiting for your messages with new challenges, trying to respond as fast as possible… and it was all for nothing.

When a company of your stature announces a draw, customers expect it to be conducted with integrity and transparency. Instead, this draw has raised serious concerns:

1. No Announced Winners:

It’s highly questionable that not a single winner has come forward. Where is the evidence that prizes were awarded fairly?

2. Lack of Selection Criteria:

Without clear guidelines on how winners are chosen, this promotion lacks credibility and undermines customer trust. Ethical draws provide clarity upfront—rules, selection criteria, and terms should be explicit from the start.

3. Absence of Public Accountability:

Companies with good practices announce winners publicly, adding to the legitimacy of the event. The silence around winners in your draw raises red flags.

Frankly, this feels like a hollow gimmick, wasting our time and leaving customers disillusioned. We enjoy shopping with you, but these shady practices in promotions seriously make us reconsider our loyalty. Don’t give us a reason to take our business elsewhere—fix these issues, act transparently, and respect the trust we’ve put in your brand.

A lot of people put their personal info into these questionnaires, was this just a big personal data grab?

I totally agree about the transparency needed for such kind of contests. sadly this was just a shady promotion and we will never know what really happened, at least we will never forget the dark times that thomann lived through…..

I agree with others that there should be transparency and confirmation about the winners (no names but announcement at least on country level).

Every month Thomann also draws four gift cards worth 1x 1,000 EUR and 3x 100 EUR for those who write product review at their web site. I have written few of those too and never won. By now there should be hundreds (if not thousands) happy gift card winners around. Anyone ever won? Would be nice to see actual screenshot one of those gift cards.

Judging by the comments, these contests act as anti-advertisement 😉 Thomann wake up 🙂
