Happy New Year 2023 from Thomann

Happy New Year 2023 from Thomann

2022 is almost over, with its ups and downs, complications and difficulties. Despite everything that happened and that is currently happening in the world, we know we can always find comfort and joy in… music!

It all started with Mathias and Julius hearing strange noises coming from our logistics center. Upon inspection, they found an old tape-recorder that prompted them to start collecting the “sounds of Thomann”: the sweet chatter of our multicultural team in office rooms, the abrupt and loud noises of the shipping department, as well as the universal clashing yet lively sound of a kitchen during peak shift.

What seemed like a random collection of sounds was transformed into the backing track of the song “God only knows” by The Beach Boys. What started as a blank canvas, was now a vivid and colourful picture. Still, the duo thought that there was something more to add, something that was possible to obtain only with team work: that’s when colleagues from all the departments joined them one after another with an incredible array of different instruments (as well as human voices) to bring the song to life.

Among all the participants, we had people from Human Resources, Administration, Accounting, Customer Service and various shop departments playing instruments such as Marimba, Bass, Harp, Glockenspiel, Oud, Guzheng, Horns and many more!

Thanks for sharing your music and passion during 2022, and for demonstrating that music is a universal language that is spoken everywhere in the world.

Thank you, grazie, kiitos, efcharistó, gracias, ďakujeme, Danke!

To a wonderful year in 2023! ️🎉
