Der 1949 von der UNESCO gegr\u00fcndete International Music Council (IMC) ist das weltweit gr\u00f6\u00dfte Netzwerk von Organisationen und Institutionen, die im Bereich Musik t\u00e4tig sind. Der Internationale Musikrat f\u00f6rdert den Zugang zur Musik f\u00fcr jedermann und den Wert der Musik im Leben aller Menschen zu erh\u00f6hen. \u00dcber seine Mitglieder und ihre Netzwerke hat das IMC direkten Zugang zu \u00fcber 1000 Organisationen in rund 150 L\u00e4ndern und 200 Millionen Menschen, die bestrebt sind, Wissen und Erfahrungen zu verschiedenen Aspekten des Musiklebens zu entwickeln und auszutauschen. Menuhin ist als einer der gr\u00f6\u00dfter Geiger und als Wunderkind des 20. Jahrhunderts bekannt. Im Jahr 1916 wurde er geboren und begann im Alter von vier Jahren unter Anleitung von Sigmund Anker Geige zu spielen. 1927 deb\u00fctierte er mit 11 Jahren in der Carnegie Hall (NYC)! Menuhin war Verfechter der Rechte von Musikern und Musikkonsumenten. Wow, Hut ab! 1975 erkl\u00e4rte er den 1. Oktober zum Weltmusiktag oder &#8222;International Music Day&#8220;. Drei Ziele wurden von Menuhin in einem Brief an alle IMC-Mitglieder vom 30.
