Tone and Quality
You know this feeling when you get an instrument that you'll never want to be parted with?
The first time I plugged this beauty to my 2x12 + 1x15 it was like God was talking to me.
The sound is pure rich and goodness. I can produce a wall of sound. No matter what style I play, fingers, slap, pick... I just can't stop, I play it every day.
I come from guitars, but since this bass came to me I've spent most of my practice time enjoying it.
I've adjusted it to perfection, but I must say it doesn't come from the manufacturer perfectly tuned or intonated, nor adjusted. You need to spend some time adjusting the intonation, pickup height, bridge height, distance between strings, etc. But this is something that any player should do to find their perfect natural fit. Pity that Warwick doesn't do a better default setup on their beloved German facilities. I wonder if their higher specs custom masterbuilt line come the same way?
The just a nut did come perfectly adjusted however.
Make sure you take a look to the warwick videos in youtube to achieve the perfect custom adjusts.
Played many guitars and basses and I know a thing of beauty when I play it. I've compared this bass with Ibanez, Westones, streamers, even with a 1963 original Fender Precision bass. This bass puts them all to shame.
It is important you chose a good powerful matching amp and a good amount of speakers to get the full goodness out. It likes 12" and 15" speakers. Mix of both if possible and you'll truly unleash something unique!

Gro es instrument
After I have used the bass for a few months (samples and performances with a harder metal band), here is a first impression:
The instrument comes with a sturdy and very well-cushioned gigbag, all the tools you could use (various allen wrench for bridge and halftrack) and Warwick Security Straplocks.
The processing is absolutely impeccable, the frets neatly arranged and everything clean and scratch-free (even in the "innards").
The factory setting was out-of-the-box playable, but still had a lot of air up. With fresh strings and a bit of rum screws at the bridge and the tuning bar, the playability is now just as I wanted it (low strings and little distance between the strings).
The sound in the neutral position of the active electronics is very clear and defined and with a high bass percentage. For "growling" -rocky or rather gentle jazzy sound you have to turn a bit on the controls - in principle, however, the possibilities are very flexible.
Now a few things, which I noticed in the first few weeks negative: The instrument is very heavy and the fingerboard (of course unavoidable by the 6 strings) very wide. The change from a 4-string from Sumpfesche was therefore quite a change, and I think that people with relatively small hands or a back-saddle problems with the dimensions of this bass could get.
In the end, the little criticisms with the habituation to the device put and I can fully recommend it!
