Sweet Tune

This is my first experience with an electronic tuner and so far I am impressed. I have used various smart phone apps but was never happy with them.
It's very easy to use (even for first-timers). It clips on easily to the Tom rims (DW Collectors) but I find it easier to hold it over the head for a quick tuning check before a gig. I found it worked very well with my snare also (Ludwig Supraphonic) and has definitely helped to a tighter rounder snare sound. One improvement I would like to see is around the box. It does protect the device but it's awkward to remove the tuner and replace it after using. A small gripe really and easily rectified.

As a drummer, I was always somewhat dissatisfied with the mood of single skins, although I claim for myself that I have a very good hearing, but the overtones were always there despite Gelclips always there.
But it usually always happens differently than you think.
I had read on a website a statement about the Tune Bot gig and watched by videoclip what he "supposedly" can do anything. The tuner then ordered at Thomann risikolos - because of the right of return in case of failure - and according to the German description my complete drums - Sonor Force - tuned both the resofelle and the percussion. On the one hand, I was surprised at how precisely the measurement on the individual buggies takes, I would have failed after hearing quite a bit. One creates a so-called basic sound per drum which one feels as ok and then builds up precisely on the tension at the individual saddles. The measurement is indicated as "+" or "-", which is then stretched more or less there. I had this before our rehearsal with the rock band alone. When we got through with the first song came immediately from the lead guitarist as well as the bass player: .... "tell me what happened with you, that sounds really bold". It was the same with me. I do not want to miss the part, check with the Tune Bot gig briefly after each trial and performance. If there were six stars in the scale, I would immediately forgive them.
