This bone pick is very comfortable and also due to bone makes a very nice attack and good tone. The big downside is that it gets eaten pretty fast and its no longer pointy and not as precise which for me makes it unusable after one point, although you should be considering your own picking and how hard you hit the strings too.

P
very very pleasant
Philisac 17.03.2019
I bought a few "non plastic" picks to give them a try: bone, horn, ebony. This one is in bone and it is fantastic. Of course more expensive but I think it is worth the price. Time will tell how many strings it will break, how long it will last, but I am sure it is more economic in the long run. Money aside, it feels great and smooth and there is nothing close with any other plastic pick I have. Give it a try.

its okay but not what expected
seanwh 09.05.2021
solid built
easy to use
good quality

but too glossy when it says bone i imagine it would have rough feel to it and a texture that would be part of a unique sound but it looks and feels as if its sealed in a high polished resin, doesn't really feel that special to use

this pick has a quite poor grip keeped falling all the time thing that never happens to me the past 15 years.... also the rebound that gives from the pluck is quite tricky. Nice only to look at...

BR
bought it on a whim
Barry R. 15.01.2014
bought it on a whim. i was ordering some other equipment from thomann and as usual i decided to try out something different. i never really use picks for playing bass as most of the time they dont right in my fingers (but do when i play guitar???) but this pick is slightly smaller than regular picks and quite thick. it feels so much more comfortable in my hand and the tone of the pick on the bass strings sounds much more natueral i guess it might be why bone is often used on guitar nuts. not the cheapest pick you could buy but as long as i dont lose it it should last for years. plus it looks cool too :)

It's thick!
Alexis 20.02.2014
I bought this pick because other reviewers stated that it's a little bigger and a little thicker in size compared to the original Jazz III. In this case I thought it would be more like a little thicker Jazz III XL. I ordered the pick and I was disappointed. It's the size like a Jazz III not really much bigger and it's extremely thick. The edges aren't that smooth like the Dunlop one, the look more like a straight cut of a machine.
The material looks superb but the all in all quality is a disaster.

can't rate the durability so 3 Stars and not included in the total rating

Good pick, not for me.
Christoforos 09.12.2017
First of all the colour is deep dark green and not that in the picture secondly, it was a bit small and i couldn't use it (i could saw that it was a really good pick but it wasn't for me). Now it is transformed into a beautiful necklace for my girlfriend :P

Great!

I try so many picks but nerver find the one!
I heard from the company the first time on the frankfurter musikmesse and try some picks there. I play them with an ESP Eclipse with Emg pickups. This bright fat sound was amazing! So I decided to buy 4 different picks from them. I used still use them. The only bad point is the grip..but it´s for me not so important as the sound they give.

Not what you would expect, but very good nonetheless
AndreiDM 11.12.2018
The pick produces a quite unique sound, which probably has to do with its thickness and the choice of material. You would normally expect a warm tone from such a pick, but it's a lot sharper than what you'd expect. It helps produce some interesting nuances for jazz especially, but it is usable for any genre or guitar. Overall a good choice quality-wise and aesthetically-wise.

Little green pick
Anonymous 06.01.2017
This pick is much smaller than I thought it would be. But it's a perfect jazz pick if you're into that kind of picks. I looooooove the color, and the feel is premium. If you want a little thick premium jazz pick, you can't go wrong with this one.
