noise on the line
arrived super quick and all good but the cable was faulty. unfortunatly, at such a good price, the cost of sending a replacement was uneconomical.

Huge parasitic noise, might be because of bad luck
I ordered one of these and one SM6RD (the same but in red). This one is unusable as it produces a high amount of parasitic noise, which is a big no. The red one is absolutely fine though so I may just have had bad luck. Thomann sent me a new one and once I get it, I'll update this review. For the time being, I ignore if I just recieved a bad specimen or if it translates poor build quality.
FYI, I am 100% the noise came from the cable because I did several tests, each one by changing an item (mic, preamp, sound interface input...) and the issue persisted everywhere the black cable was used and nowhere else.
I can't recommend it yet, but the other one I have is -until now- working perfectly well. I hope having a good quality cable is not a lottery because if so, I'd pass on it.

Rubbish
It died after being used twice but the hassle of sending it back was just not worth the effort. The fault appeared to be in the cable as the soldering was secure at both ends.

Don't waste money
Absolute garbage! Picks up every slightest electric interference. Buzzing sound is almost unavoidable, if you have any other electronic devices within 3m of the cable.

I bought this lead about a year ago and it worked very well for about a week and then basically fell apart. I would recommend you to stay away, it was very cheap and I know the saying goes, you get what you pay for but I thought it might not break so quick.
I used it with a condenser mic, the ends became weak and wouldn't let the signal through thus leading to crackling and static sounds. I decided to spend an extra 4 euro more for the pro snake TPM 10 and found the extra four euro to be worth it. Dont waste your time with this lead spend the extra money it will be worth it in the long run.
