As a singer, I wanted to myself equipment for smaller performances
Keyboard / guitar accompaniment (up to about 100 listeners). I ordered from Thomann this box and the "The Box PA110A" (both 10 '') to compare the sound and keep the better. The winner is with me clearly this box (RA10), because it is my voice (and also the Instrumentensound) much clearer, more natural and more accurate than the PA110A, which sounds rather dull. (If you play music from the band on the boxes, the difference is however less serious.)
Other advantages of the RA10 are: - The controls are located on the front of the box, which I find very handy. - Due to the jack connection (in contrast to the XLR connector on the PA110A), the search for cheap cables is easier. - The box is easy to carry on your handle. (The PA110A comes to me heavier, although it is according to the description is not actually). - The RA10 has almost no noise, the PA110A however already. - The box is 20 euros cheaper than the PA110A. The only drawback of the RA10 is that it can not be as loud as the PA110A. In order to reach the volume of the PA110A turned up to a quarter, you have to turn the RA10 halfway. For my purposes, the RA10 is by far loud enough. At least, there is less danger of a hearing loss. ;)
The box I use, incidentally, in connection with the "BEHRINGER XENYX 1202 FX" mixer and the "SENNHEISER E835S" microphone (everything from Thomann). Everything great! My Conclusion: I am very enthusiastic about the RA10, which despite a small price sounds absolutely brilliant! Thanks Thomann! :)
