Stone Deaf gets it right once more!

This pedal is extremely useful in a band situation. You can get a variety of overdrive tones and fuzz tones when blending this pedal with other overdrives. The Q boost enables you to cut through the mix in any situation with ease. I am playing through a Gibson Les Paul Standard into a Revv D20 and this pedal can get me awesome tones. Moreover, this is not an expensive pedal when taking into consideration all its possible applications. I have also tried this pedal through a bass rig and it performs well too. The only downside when using it with bass is that it lacks a dry knob, however, depending on the sound you are going for, this shouldn't be an issue.

Underrated Sleeper Pedal

Ich habe den Q-Boost nur durch Zufall entdeckt. Das Pedal wurde unter den ganzen Youtube-Sternchen nicht ganz so gehyped. Wahrscheinlich, weil es zuerst nur eine limitierte Auflage von 500 Stück gab und das Pedal nun auch für die breite Masse neu aufgelegt wurde.

Die linke Seite hat auf dem "modern" setting einen quasi handelsüblichen transparenten Boost. Im "vintage" setting, passiert irgendwelche Magie, die zusätzlich sättigt. Damit kommt man dann schon fast in Fuzztortion Bereiche. Obendrauf lässt sich über die "Freq" Seite, die gesondert zugeschaltet werden kann, diejenige Frequenz auswählen, die geboostet werden soll. Der Bereich ist extrem breit aufgestellt. Laut Doku sind das 35Hz bis 6kHz.

Ich nutze das Pedal mit einer Strat vor einem Marshall SV20 in "modern" und bei der Frequenz booste ich die hohen Mitten. Ich möchte eigentlich keine Overdrives mehr, sondern nur noch dieses Pedal, einfach weil es so flexibel einsetzbar ist.

Les + : possibilités de réglage idéales pour un boost sur le papier : 1/un canal clean (moderne) et dirty ( vintage) 2/ un double footswitch pour activer ou pas le Freq boost, 3/ un potar pour sélectionner la fréquence à booster
Les - : 1/ Le canal "modern" pas assez clean, il sature un peu selon les autres éléments; 2/ le canal "vintage" trop sale, rajoute beaucoup trop de volume, on passe sont temps à agir sur le volume pour compenser 3/ le mode fréquence boost provoque un boost de volume, obligeant encore à compenser, 4/ c'est une pédale qui est plus une OD/Disto qu'un boost pour moi, on perd le grain de l'ampli, c'est une fuzz au final 5/ je la trouve moche, les potars tournent trop facilement sous le doigt, le switch vintage/modern trop petit et peu visible, on ne sait pas dans quel mode on est.
Vous avez compris, je ne l'ai pas conservé. J'ai choisi le "supro boost" qui réveille l'ampli, très simple et efficace; fonctionne encore mieux en 18v; et on ne passe pas son temps à toucher tout pour être insatisfait au final. Le son est tout de suite là. Bref, la Q boost est une espèce de fuzz qu'on laisse comme elle est un fois qu'on a trouvé le sweet spot et qu'on reste dans le même style.
