Good little desk
Dan Dan the sound man, 04.12.2017
The desk is nice and simple to use, manly as it doesn't have many features of the bigger/more expensive desks, but don't let that put you off.
This desk is probably best suited to permanent installs like pubs, clubs, schools and churches. If what you're looking for is a good small desk that works and is easy to use then this is great. If you're looking for something with lots of features and toys on it then this probably won't be what you want.
OK so what features does it have?
Well like I said not many, EQ, a couple of aux's, analog rec out and that's about it, but for a simple desk that's about all you need. If you want USB interface for recording, compression or effects then it's worth looking at other desks.
Does it sound OK?
yes, the pre-amps seem quite quiet and so far I've not had any issues with channels getting noisy. For what most people will be using this for then it's great and will do the job.
Why wouldn't I get it?
Well probably for the reasons I've already said, lack of the features you want, but then you'd be paying more for it.
For a small simple install where you just need sound and an easy to use desk this is great, if you want to mix and engineer a band for a gig then I'd look and a more complex desk.

Gorgeous mixer!
BobF, 10.01.2019
The EPM12 looks even better in person than I expected and the sound is great for a home studio. I use synths and drum machines and modular equipment with effects pedals / racks and I am quite happy with the sound. It does not feel cheap or like a toy, it is well built and the pots/faders are not wobbly. The inserts on all 12 channels is awesome! The only thing I found a bit odd is no power switch (unless I somehow missed it?) - you have to power it from the mains, which I find quite weird but not really an issue. Keep in mind you need the correct cables for the MIX-L/R outputs. It is obvious when looking at the image, however I did not think about it and need to go buy some. Overall I am really happy with this new addition to my studio.
