I had tried a number of microphones for recording video in high quality. Originally I had a Line6 Mic that came with the wireless system, but to be honest it was not a good microphone (lovelier type). So I looked around and found this one. What drew me to it was the flexibility of the connectivity where Samson included loads of connectors.
While the connector I actually needed was not included a converter cost peanuts from one included with the Samson Mic so I was not bothered.
The improvement in audio quality has to be heard to be believed. Gone was the squeaky tone from the Line6 Mic and replacing it was an incredibly high quality microphone that works incredibly well.
If I was to criticise anything the boom length from the part that holds the Mic on your ear is a bit short but apart from that this Samson Mic is probably the best of this type of mic I have ever either tried or owned... and for a relatively small budget for the Samson Mic that's a really great achievement - well done Samson.
Would I recommend it? Absolutely and as a score out of ten? a 9!
good little mic, nice body, slightly thin like all cheaper microphones, you know it is a microphones sound as opposed to a more natural sound but if used for conferences in an acoustically tight room it will sound fine. Overall OKAY mic.
