There is more in it than it stands

da mardt, 11.11.2009
This is METAL-X and exactly that was the reason for me to integrate this monster disk into my set-up.

The most convincing argument for me is that with this tank as a ride simply everything hears. I had no longer wanted that the ride accents, which I thought elaborate to the riffs had, just behind the guitars and generally only be perceived, if I right on it. The first thing I was too stupid and secondly, this is a very ineffective game. I find the instruments have to serve the musician and adapt to him and by no means the other way around.

The second biggest argument was the hell-sound of the bell. I get now again a grin in the face, if I only think about it. So did the musicians in the neighboring probers. It is such a deeply fulfilling sound. Simply absolutely convincing. Above all, the bell is large enough that it sounds every time, if you intend.

Not long time later my drum style has significantly expanded. The metal-x could continue to be a good partner. The screw a piece loosely, the stand a piece higher and full knew dropping. Wow. A sound explosion.

You need a stronger stick and a little more arm power to the ride to scrape but it is worth it. From a certain energy level, the little bit goes up again and makes great rock n roll.

What I can think of: I've played the 20 "21" and the 22 "version of the sabian metal-x rides, I tell you when, then the big one, the smaller ones just can not keep up, much more closed and dry and somehow boring This basin is lively and fresh.

Let's talk about sustain. Purely theoretically one can hang the ride on nem good stand, with the finger to schnibbsen and a coffee go. When you come back and listen very quietly, it will still swing ... no lie !!

This ride makes it far beyond the metal range to function through the special twilight. It is really so that ride tanks at a certain impact strength have their norm-sound, which is to be reached first. Not so with the sabian metal-x. In any power level, the instrument provides its own characteristic sound. Nagut the more power you reinsteckt the larger also the obertöne. That means you can play with this tank very dynamically and always with the real sound.

It is SEEEHHHHR hard. for real. Nix for thin stanchions or weak roadies. This is also practical I have the ride at the bottom of my cymbal bags and protect the overlying lying rather weak basins.

I use the sabian 22 inch aa metal-x ride for pop, punk, alterna-rock, metal and grind
