The only strings I've used for over 25 years!!

The string are expensive, yes, but they last me so long it's worth it.

I once had a set of these strings on my 12 string guitar for over a decade, and only changed them after a guitar set up (I hate changing strings, especially on a 12 string!).

They stay in tune, and the sound doesn't dull to my ears. Coating the strings in 24 k gold does definitely give them a "played in" more mellow tone, but I like that as I don't like the "zingy" overtones of new strings.

To me the only con is the price, but they are cost effective because they sound good, and stay in tune for so long!!

Habe vorher einige Saiten probiert. Im Origina waren Galli 47-09 12String aufgespannt - super zugeschnitten auf meine Linkshänder Einzelanfertigungn aus dem Vogtland. Waren leider nicht mehr zu bekommen (jetzt wieder erhältlich). Die Alternativen waren Optima und jetzt die Optima Goldstrings. Absolut der Hammer für meinen Gebrauch. Muss aber sagen, ich bevorzuge eine weiche Saite und eine flache Saitenlage (Bass, Western; E-Gitarre). Sind aber sehr empfindlich. Wenn die Saiten neu aufgespannt sind, ist es ratsam, dass man nach den ersten zwei drei Liedern wieder nachjustiert. Ansonsten Haltbarkeit, Bespielbarkeit, Geräusche und was man noch so bewerten kann, werde ich in Zukunft die Goldstrings von Optima aufziehen.

J'ai voulu équiper ma Martin D 28-12 pour essayer autre chose que mes Elixir Phosphor-bronze habituelles... J'avoue que je suis déçu par le son, le Mi grave, le Mi d'octave et le Sol grave ne sonnent pas ...dommage car la qualité de fabrication à l'air exemplaire...Le confort lié à un tirant plus faible sur certaines cordes, un toucher plutôt agréable aussi ....Mais le son n'y est pas (du moins pour moi)
Donc après des essais Martin, D'Addario, Ernie Ball, Optima je reviens sur Elixir...
