Caution, does not always fit and has slight limitations
Shortly to the cable and the plugs:
Electric wire: If I only the cable with a cheap USB cable from Amazon compare (Amazon Basic), falls at first glance actually only on that it is slightly thicker. It has no rubber jacket and is not as flexible as eg an XLR cable. I thought for the price it would be a little more in the direction of thick rubber cable, but it may be that a USB cable through the shielding can not be built more flexible.
So here you can not expect miracles and should deal accordingly, as a good stage microcable I would not treat it ...
Plug: It is not the usual locking system as with XLR cables, but four tabs per plug are pushed back and forth by moving the plug sleeve and clamp the plug in the socket. This works so far, nevertheless I wonder why you chose this solution here. An emergency release when you stumble over the cable does not seem to be. However, it seems to work so far and the cable sits well and can be easily released.
If you do not have a Neutrik bush, you can remove the sleeve easily, unfortunately the rear ring is second and is predestined to get lost. Always screw it together again and again.
Let us turn to the disadvantages: The USB plugs carry very thick without a sleeve and could easily cover adjacent USB sockets. Laptops and PCs certainly a problem.
And the cable does not always fit neatly on the Neutrik USB built-in socket NAUSB-W although for this purpose.
I bought such a jack before (NOT THOMANN!) And installed in my rack. After everything was finished, then the cable ordered and look there - does not fit. The socket is too tight, I got the plug not in. On demand at Neutrik I learned that the socket NAUSB-W was overhauled and improved, and now water-tight. Apparently also the diameter was changed and now the cables do not fit in all generations.
Funny: the reworking took place 3-4 years ago, so I have probably since the other dealers get quite old goods. Something disappointing: Neutrik did not offer me to exchange my plug, I should complain to the dealer. Because of 4-5 euro was the effort but too big and the product itself is not faulty.
You order it from Thomann and get the "new" generation: fit.
