Great quality
maciek00, 16.04.2021
Good quality. Holds guitar pretty well, but could be improved.

Protective material on the bottom is ok, but there is no protective material at the top, so I had to glue fleece to protect back of my guitar's body

I use it with Yamaha Pacifica, Fender Stratocaster and Harley Benton double cut (SG style) guitar and it holds each of them well. Definitely wouldn't be good for acoustic guitar.

Comparing to more expensive (£20) stand that I use:
* it's lighter (so easier to accidentally fall)
* it's a little bit less stable.
* there's no protective material on upper part - needed to glue fleece to protect back of my guitar
* it doesn't hold acoustic guitar (which for me is actually better, as it's more slim)

Happy to use it, but more expensive stands are noticeably better. Although for £5 I wouldn't expect more. It's actually better than one of my £15 stands

Also instruction says that it can react with floor and leave marks that can't be removed and suggests to glue furniture fleece - imo not a big deal

Holds the BASS successfully
Ms. Bright, 19.12.2020
Even though it is not mentioned, It's also suitable for the electric bass...
A very sturdy, well made and minimal stand that is really invisible (display-wise) but mainly you will not find your instrument on the floor with no reason! A real VFM here!
Tip for those who wonder: The "Millenium" logo is on a sticker that can be easily come off.
U-shape measurements: max width: 10cm and height: ~ 6cm

Very nice stand
12.08.2015
I bought this stand to use it at home, so I do not have to put my guitar away in its case everytime I stop playing. The Millenium GS-2001 E is a very good stand for its price. It is very well made, nice building quality, it is strong and sturdy, seems to be very durable. It sits well on the floor, it does not move or shake, it is very stable. The parts that are in touch with the guitar are protected with rubber and it does not damage the guitar in any way. It also has rubber feet and it didnt scratch or stain the floor. The guitar does not fall and feels secure. I am using a superstrat shaped guitar and it fits perfectly on the stand. It seems to be good for stage use aswell.

Best stand in its price range, would highly recommend to everyone else. I am very happy with this purchase.

Not for offsets
A. j M., 23.04.2019
It’s alright quality in general I guess, and I think that you would have an issue with acoustics or even lighter electric guitars.

However, the offset body and weight of my Fender Jaguar was apparently too much for this little piece of gear. After a couple months, it started to be very wobbly, as if both legs were moving away from each other every time I laid the guitar on them.

Over a month after that, it simply broke completely - I once laid the guitar and both legs just separated. The little plastic bit on the top (where the back of the body rests) just disintegrated into bits somehow, leaving hidden screws to dent the laquer on the back of the Jag’. Not cool.

All in all, if you buy something cheap, I guess you can’t complain when it breaks on you. I ended up throwing this one out and putting a little more money to buy one of the Hercules stands (guitars hang by the neck on them, so no problem for offsets) as I would rather invest a little more buck to avoid having to pay for paint jobs on a 1.2k€ guitar.

Though I’m sure if you’ll be using it for acoustics or very light guitars that you don’t pick up too often, it’ll be just perfect.

Solid but too much lean!
offog, 05.07.2021
I have a few of these stands which I use at home and for gigs. They're very light and solidly-built, and they seem to do a good job of holding a guitar. However, they do lean the instrument back quite dramatically - I prefer the "A" acoustic version which seems to hold electric/bass guitars just as well but stands a bit more upright, and can be placed against a wall for a bit more protection.

Bargain
Flynnz, 11.06.2021
At first I thought it was damaged, and marvelled at how anyone/anything had managed to bend part of the support bar through 90 degrees...until I realised it is supposed to be that way - doh. Holds my bass securely. Pay attention to carefully put it in place, especially if a lead is still attached and the guitar output (or possibly the strap button) is in the way of the support bar - depends on the guitar design/hardware layout. Some of my guitars are like this so I'm not sure how I would feel about using it on a stage (I bought it post-covid).

Very high quality for the price - Recommended
Charistkt, 12.02.2020
I use this stand for my Jackson electric guitar. It is very stable and the guitar rests very nicely. Also, you don't have to remove the cable to place the guitar on the stand, which is not the case for some similar guitar stands. Well at least, for Jackson ST style guitars. Only possible downside is that there is a warning note inside the package saying that the plastic parts touching the floor may react with laminate floor and cause markings, after some time. Well, I did have the stand on a laminate floor for 2-3 months, because you only live once, and nothing happened. Can't recommend enough, keep rocking or jazzing or whatever.

No frills but does what it needs to.
TwoJaysOK, 18.06.2021
For the price you're not going to get a stand that massages your guitar before bedtime, but you will get a stand that does exactly what it sets out to do.

It's lightweight, easy to setup, and when it's fully extended and clipped in, it'll hold your guitar with full stability and no issues.

This will definitely survive the test of your curious cat!
10.10.2016
If you're tired of carefully tucking your guitar away in the case every time you take a break for a minute; if the thought of resting your precious instrument against your amp even for a short moment terrifies you (as it should); if your home animals are particularly nosy about your new, expensive guitar, then getting one of these is going to be a cheap insurance.

This thing will probably hold your guitar up to a level 7 earthquake in the Richter scale.

It's really, robust, durable and stable. It does not wobble at all and the base legs have thick rubber caps, which makes the grip really good on solid surfaces like lacquered wood.

My Fender Stratocaster sits very well in this stand, I simply can't imagine it ever falling out.

I do not recommend keeping this on a carpet.

And I think it could bruise the finish off the guitar a bit during long term use. Not that much of a problem for guitars with polyurethane finish, which tends to "brush off" a bit, but nitrocellulose finish tends to come off in large flakes. Take that in account!

It's still a 5 star product!

***

Pros:
+ Reasonable pricing
+ Very robust and durable
+ Very stable

Cons:
- Did not like the manufacturer markings
- Could ruin the finish of a guitar, particularly on nitrocellulose lacquer

Fair price, good product
vhasselmann, 21.10.2019
I was afraid of buying any Millenium gear, but after buying a bass I found the need of having a stand as well. It turns out Millenium gear is solid and well-done. It fits perfect my instrument and even having 3 cats jumping from on side of the living room to another, I don't feel concerned about having my bass out of the bag standing there.

Easy to use, robust but not so heavy, easy to transport, foldable stand for your priceless guitar.
It's so much better than thowing your instrument to the bed or sofa or anywhere else... ;)
The price is very good also. If I buy another it will be a locking stand but in this category it's one of the best.

It does its job. I don't like that where goes the top of the body of the guitar it's a hard plastic. Should be soft.

Amzing stand also for bass guitar!
Mathieu Trobec, 07.07.2021
I've been using these stands for around 8 years now, before I had these kind of heavy/big/expensive ones. Believe me, this one will do just fine! I have 4 of these stands and my main basses are all full-time on them.

I have a (double neck) bass weighing over 7 kg and this stand still holds it just fine after all these years.

I ordered a new one recently and saw the building of these changed. The angle of the bass/guitar is more inclined. It still works fine but I liked the previous angle more...

Does everything as expected
Beau , 29.03.2021
I bought this stand for my Telecaster,

It is a very sturdy stand. It is stable and made of good materials.

The only minor downside is that you can only use it for electric Instruments but it is called an ELECTRIC guitar stand for a reason.

It works!
casual musician, 24.02.2021
It would've been nice if the moving parts in the middle had some sort of a lock once the stands are fully stretched. I always feel like I might just pinch my fingers when folding/unfolding the stand. But it works for its purpose otherwise! Not so good for holding acoustics though. and J-basses, although J-bass it the culprit here.

Simple Design - Nice little Stand
Cuztard Pi, 17.02.2016
How much!!??

True, it was the price that caught my eye (like many other items on the Thomann website .. grrrr ... they're just too tempting with so many great bargains easily to be had!!).

I wanted another stand so that I could have my new guitar (a very pretty HB CST-24HB/TF from Thomann) out on open display at home, plus to have a 2nd stand on stage to allow a change of guitar (as well as show-off just a little ;-D )

I took a punt on this cheap-as-chips stand as it certainly looked the part as advertised.
How they make it for this price is a real mystery .. but it really is a great little stand; well built, sturdy, small footprint, balances well with a guitar in place, and no risk of causing any scratches or marks due to the use of rubber pads on all touching surfaces.
Note: it does warn that the rubber may leave marks on nitrocellulose finished guitars, so do take this into account.

The design is suitable to fit a range of electric body styles & sizes (but you can forget your Flying V of course LOL) and it provides a secure base (much better than risk leaning your precious against your amp or laying it flat on the stage floor .. don't do it folks!!!!) .. plus it presents your precious guitar very well so that its aura can be slavered over / worshipped from afar, hee hee.

So next time you're buying something from Thomann, I recommend you add one of these handy little stands to your shopping list.

It's a pretty solid and good guitar stand. I think it's not necessary to pay more for high quality stands, considering I'm using a 100€ guitar.

You can't go wrong
fjomatias, 11.08.2020
Standard piece to securely display your guitar wherever you want to put it. Probably not recommended for guitars with nitrocellulose finishes because the rubber pads are synthetic but that is a whole other story. If you are like me and happen to have a guitar finished in Nitrocellulose, just use a few organic cotton towels on the points of contact and you will be fine!

Good but nothing special
Timieck, 09.05.2021
It does what it's supposed to.

The protective material on the bottom is nice and it would be nice to have it on the top as well since it's pretty much just plastic against wood at the moment. I can probably fix it myself by gluing on some felt/foam/fabric but It should really be included.

Feels stable enough most of the time though I have had some scares where it feels like it's going to tip over or on the side.

All in all it's insane for it's price and the build is great so if you're on a budget or just need an extra stand for your practice space I would recommend it :)

Disappointing construction
MikeBR, 31.01.2018
It is fine for holding a solid body guitar. Not much use of hollow body. The plastic pad the guitar rests on broke almost immediately (likely was cracked in shipping, because I can't believe it would break that easily otherwise). Now tapped together. There are other Millennium stands that are cheaper and more robust.
